At the apex of a curved street, it presents itself as a sculpture of stacked boxes composed from shards of glass and muted black slate. “Plywood, a moisture-proof, marine-grade, very low formaldehyde-content pine, certified by the European sustainable forest practices agreement, becomes a strong, almost abnormal complement to what would normally be simply a white, industrial space.
